Drake Bay offers some of Costa Rica’s best sport fishing, with opportunities to target sailfish, marlin, yellowfin tuna, dorado (mahi-mahi), roosterfish, wahoo, and others. Whether you're taking your first steps in fishing or looking to challenge yourself with larger species, we tailor each trip to ensure you get the most out of the experience.
All of our fishing trips are 100% private, so the boat is reserved exclusively for you and your group. This allows us to focus on the type of fishing you want to do, from offshore big game fishing to inshore species around Drake Bay.
Our guides are fluent in English and Spanish and have experience sharing Drake Bay’s waters with guests from around the world.

The types of fish we'll catch depends on the type of the tour and the season. We generally target large fish such as sailfish, marlin, yellowfin tuna, dorado (mahi-mahi), roosterfish, wahoo, and others. Please see the types of tours below, our Fishing Report page, and our gallery of previous trips.

START
You'll enjoy fresh tropical fruit and cold drinks on all trips. For full-day trips, we provide a delicious, Costa Rican lunch.
We will pick you up from the beach in the boat in the morning. You can choose a start time between 6:00 and 8:00 AM depending on your vacation style.

After a full-day trip, we will take your fish to one of our favorite local restaurants to have it prepared for you for dinner.
Trip Options
Half-Day Costal Fishing Trip
We'll fish for about 5 hours, departing at 7:00 a.m. from Rancho Corcovado. You'll sail along the spectacular coast of Drake Bay, visiting renowned fishing spots where, depending on the season, you can look for species such as cubera snapper, rooster fish, Spanish mackerel, and wahoo.
Full-Day Inshore Fishing
If you want to spend more time on the water and explore a wider variety of fishing spots, this is the ideal option. The experience lasts around 8 hours, and we recommend departing at 7:00 a.m. Throughout the day, you'll explore different sections of the coast accompanied by a local captain who will choose the best spots based on sea conditions. We'll look for yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi (dorado), sailfish, rainbow tuna, bonito, wahoo, and more.
For those who dream of an authentic sport fishing trip in the Pacific, this 9-hour adventure is for you. You'll sail out 20+ miles in search of large species such as yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi (dorado),wahoo, and marlin, enjoying the thrill that only offshore fishing can offer.
